What file formats can I upload?
Splatimation accepts every common Gaussian Splat format: .ply, .sog, .splat, and .spz. On upload we convert to .splatimation, our internal format that bundles the splat data with your project state (animations, lighting, tour scenes) so re-opening a project is instant.
Do I own the splats and tours I create?
Yes. You retain full ownership of every splat you upload and every tour you build. Your projects are exportable at any time. If you cancel a paid tier, your projects stay in your account. You just lose access to the paid-tier features until you re-subscribe.
Where can my tours be published?
Three destinations, and you can use any combination. splatimation.com/t/your-tour (every tier) is the default shareable link, served from our infrastructure. Self-hosted ZIP export (Studio + Enterprise) downloads the tour as a static bundle you host anywhere, with no ongoing dependency on us. Whitelabel Hosting (paid add-on, Studio + Enterprise) puts the tour on your custom domain (tours.yourcompany.com) and adds the analytics, lead capture, and live guided tour features the static ZIP can't deliver.
What does the Whitelabel Hosting add-on do that self-hosting a ZIP doesn't?
A self-hosted ZIP is a static viewer, so anything that needs a server back-channel is off the table: visitor analytics, scene-by-scene dwell, 3D camera heatmaps, in-tour lead capture, CRM webhooks, live guided co-viewing, password protection, expiring share links, branded PDF reports, and real-time alerts when a named prospect re-opens their tour. Whitelabel Hosting includes all of that, plus custom-domain TLS we manage for you. $49/mo on top of Studio, $199/mo on top of Enterprise, unlimited domains either way.
Can I sell my splats and tours?
Every tier can sell on the community marketplace. The marketplace fee scales with your tier: Free pays 25%, Pro pays 15%, Studio and Enterprise pay 10%. Paid listings have a $5 minimum so the fee always covers payment processing. You can also share a project completely free of charge: pick "Share free" when listing it, and anyone signed in can claim their own copy with no fees involved.
How do I remove the watermark?
Upgrade to Pro or higher. Free-tier video exports are 1080p with a small Splatimation watermark in the corner. From Pro onward, exports go up to 4K at higher bitrates with no watermark.
Is there a free trial of the paid tiers?
The Free tier is the trial. It doesn't expire, and it gives you the full animation editor so you can decide if Splatimation fits your workflow before paying. When you're ready for tours, custom branding, AI, or bigger storage, the paid tiers unlock instantly with no long-term contract. Cancel any time.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Monthly subscriptions cancel at the end of the current billing period; annual subscriptions run to the end of the term you paid for. There's no cancellation fee, and your projects stay in your account either way.
